The fluid is then transported through the tooth clearances of the pinion and internal gear from the suction area to the pressure area. This process creates a compressive force that presses the segment and segment support against the tooth tips of the pinion shaft and internal gear. This mechanism automatically adjusts to separate the pressure area from the suction area.
