The internal gear pump primarily consists of the mounting flange, housing, cover, pinion shaft, internal gear, segment, and segment support. High-strength cast iron is used for the housing and cover, resulting in a very low sound level during operation.
In this internal gear pump, the pinion shaft drives the toothed internal gear in the direction of rotation. The tooth clearances opening in the suction area prime the fluid. The fluid is then transported into the tooth clearances of the pinion and internal gear from the suction area to the pressure area, creating compressive force. This force presses the segment and segment support against the tooth tips of the pinion shaft and internal gear. This mechanism works to separate the pressure area from the suction area with automatic adjustment.
