HYDRAULIC GEAR PUMP is a separate three-piece structure, the three pieces are the pump cover 4, 8 and the pump body 7, the pump body 7 is equipped with a pair of gears 6 with the same number of teeth, width, and pump body close to each other and meshing, the pair of gears with the two end caps and the pump body to form a sealing chamber, and by the top of the gears and meshing line to seal the chamber is divided into two parts, namely, the oil-absorbing chamber and the oil-pressure chamber. The two gears of the HYDRAULIC GEAR PUMP are keyed to the main shaft 12 and the driven shaft 15, which are supported by needle bearings and rotated by an electric motor.

Here is the content list:

  • The formation of a partial vacuum reduces the seal volume

  • Velocity flow at the top of the tooth is opposite to the direction of leakage

The formation of a partial vacuum reduces the seal volume

When the active gear of the pump rotates, the gears on the right side of the HYDRAULIC GEAR PUMP (oil-absorbing cavity) are disengaged and the teeth of the gears exit the interdental space, which increases the sealing volume and forms a local vacuum, and the oil in the oil tank enters the interdental space through the oil-absorbing pipeline and oil-absorbing cavity under the action of external atmospheric pressure. With the rotation of the gear, the oil sucked between the teeth is brought to the other side and enters the pressure oil chamber. At this time, the gear teeth enter into engagement, so that the sealing volume gradually decreases and the oil between the gears is partially squeezed out, forming the oil pressure process of HYDRAULIC GEAR PUMP. When the gears have meshed, the tooth-to-tooth contact line separates the oil-absorbing cavity and the oil-pressure cavity, which acts as oil distribution. When the active gear of the HYDRAULIC GEAR PUMP is driven by the motor to rotate continuously, the side where the gear teeth are disengaged from the engagement, the oil is continuously absorbed from the oil tank because the sealing volume becomes larger, and the side where the gear teeth enter the engagement, the oil is continuously discharged because the sealing volume decreases.

Velocity flow at the top of the tooth is opposite to the direction of leakage

The front and rear cover of the pump and the HYDRAULIC GEAR PUMP are positioned by two locating pins17 and fastened with six screws. To ensure that the gear can rotate flexibly and at the same time to ensure minimum leakage, there should be a proper clearance (axial clearance) between the gear end face and the pump cover, 0.025~0.04mm for small flow pumps and 0.04~0.06mm for large flow pumps. the clearance (radial clearance) between the tooth top and the inner surface of the HYDRAULIC GEAR PUMP, due to the long sealing belt and at the same time The shear flow formed by the linear velocity of the tooth top and the opposite direction of oil leakage, so the impact on leakage is smaller, the problem to be considered here is that when the gear is subjected to unbalanced radial force, the tooth top and the inner wall of the pump body should be avoided to touch, so the radial clearance can be slightly larger, generally take 0.13~0.16mm.
