The working principle of HYDRAULIC GEAR PUMP is also to use the change of the sealing volume between the teeth to realize oil suction and pressure oil. It is composed of an oil distribution plate (front and rear covers), an outer rotor (driven wheel), and an inner rotor (drive wheel) eccentrically placed in the pump body. The difference between the inner and outer rotors is one tooth, the inner rotor has six teeth, and the outer rotor has seven teeth. Since the inner and outer rotors of the HYDRAULIC GEAR PUMP have meshed with multiple teeth, several sealed volumes are formed.

  • HYDRAULIC GEAR PUMP working process

Advantages of HYDRAULIC GEAR PUMP

Internal gear pumps have many advantages, such as compact structure, small size, few parts, speed up to 10000r/min, smooth movement, low noise, high volumetric efficiency, etc. The disadvantage is that the flow pulsation is large, the manufacturing process of the rotor is complicated, etc., and powder metallurgy has been used for pressing. With the development of industrial technology, the application of cycloidal gear pumps will become more and more extensive. HYDRAULIC GEAR PUMP can be forward and reversed and can be used as a hydraulic motor.

HYDRAULIC GEAR PUMP working process

When the inner rotor of internal gear pumps rotates around the center O1, it drives the outer rotor to rotate in the same direction around the outer rotor center O2. At this time, the sealed volume formed between the tooth top A1 of the inner rotor and the tooth valley A2 of the outer rotor gradually expands with the rotation of the rotor, thus forming a partial vacuum. The oil is sucked into the sealing chamber from the oil distribution window of the HYDRAULIC GEAR PUMP, and the closed volume is the largest when it reaches positions A1' and A2', and the oil suction is completed at this time. When the rotor of internal gear pumps continues to rotate, the sealing volume filled with oil gradually decreases, and the oil is squeezed, so the oil is discharged through another oil distribution window, to the other tooth of the inner rotor and the outer rotor. When the tooth recesses A2 are all meshed, oil pressure is completed. Every time the inner rotor rotates once, each sealing volume formed by the tooth tops of the inner rotor and the tooth valleys of the outer rotor completes oil suction and pressure once, and when the inner rotor rotates continuously, the oil suction and discharge work of the hydraulic pump is completed. The tooth shape of the outer rotor of the HYDRAULIC GEAR PUMP is a circular arc, and the tooth shape of the inner rotor is an equidistant line of a short epicycloid, so it is also called an internal meshing cycloid gear pump, also called a rotor pump.
